Follow these steps to Claim PPI back.
Recently, the banking industry was forced to repay insurance premiums on PPI to people that were taken advantage of.
To Claim PPI back, a certain number of steps must be followed.
Step 1: Check to make sure that you were sold a PPI insurance policy.
Step 2: Determine the circumstances under-which you were sold the PPI. The key to determining if you have a claim is found in the claim questionnaire. Common complaints were that consumers were told that they must buy the insurance policy, or that they must buy the insurance policy from the lender. In come cases, consumers were not told they were buying an insurance policy, or they were sold an insurance policy that they did not qualify for.
Step 3: Contact the lender. Be clear that you are contacting the lender to Claim PPI back.
Step 4: Contact the Financial Ombudsman Service if your lender will not cooperate. If you feel as though you were unfairly denied a refund by the lender, then seek out the help of the ombudsman. Lenders have taken to denying claims as a means of putting off consumers. Claim back PPI, even if you must contact the ombudsman.
